EWEIN BERHAD ENROUTE TO SECOND BOARD LISTING VIA OFFER FOR SALE OF 25 MILLION SHARES

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 February - Ewein Berhad (Ewein) today signed an underwriting agreement with Alliance Investment Bank Berhad (AIBB) and its co-underwriters as part of its proposed listing on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

AIBB is the Adviser and Managing Underwriter for Ewein's flotation exercise. Its co-underwriters are M&A Securities Sdn Bhd (M&A Securities) and MIMB Investment Bank Berhad (MIMB).

Ewein's listing exercise involves the offer for sale of 25,117,557 existing ordinary shares of RM0.50 each by MBM Resources Berhad (MBM Resources) and Hijauwasa Sdn Bhd (Hijauwasa) at an issue price of RM0.70 per ordinary share. It comprises a restricted offer for sale by MBM Resources Berhad of 18,117,557 ordinary shares of Ewein of RM0.50 each to the shareholders of MBM Resources Berhad who are public. Simultaneously, Hijauwasa will also make an offer for sale of 7,000,000 ordinary shares of Ewein RM0.50 each. These shares offered by Hijauwasa comprise 6,000,000 ordinary shares of RM0.50 each made available for application by the public; and 1,000,000 ordinary shares of RM0.50 each made available for application by eligible directors and employees of Ewein and its subsidiaries.

Signing on behalf of Ewein/Hijauwasa was its Managing Director Datuk Ewe Swee Kheng while MBM Resources was represented by its Managing Director Looi Kok Loon. AIBB was represented by its Group CEO Datuk Bridget Lai. Co-underwriters M&A Securities and MIMB were represented by their Executive Director, Head of Operations Michael Chan and Chief Executive Officer Mohd Farid Nawawi, respectively.

Ewein is involved in the manufacturing of precision sheet metal fabricated parts which are used in the manufacturing of audio, video and acoustic equipment, satellite antennas, electrical and electronics equipment, KVM switches, computer monitors and keyboards; designing and fabrication of precision moulds, tools and dies as well as manufacturing of precision plastic injection moulding products and product finishing.
